السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته، إخواني وأخواتي،
لقد اطلعتُ على بعض المقالات والثناءات التي يُزعم أنها أكاديمية، كتبها بعض كبار طلاب ومريدي الشيخ الدكتور عبد الفتاح أبو عبد الله أديلابو الأفريقي، والتي تُشير إلى أن الشيخ نفسه قد نفى مناداته أو تسميته "إمام أهل السنة الأفارقة"، أو "إمام أهل السنة الأفارقة في الغرب"، أو "إمام أهل السنة الأفارقة في العالم". ونحن بحاجة إلى أن يُصدر الشيخ الأفريقي بيانًا أكثر وضوحًا بشأن هذه الألقاب، لأن بعض الأصوات المسموعة في دائرته المقربة لا تزال تُروج لاستخدامها معه.
أرسلتُ طلبات خطية إلى كبار طلاب الشيخ الدكتور عبد الفتاح أديلابو، مثل الشيخ موسى فيليبس، والأستاذ حافظ أديسوكان، وأبو حليمة، لتزويدي بتصريحات الشيخ الشخصية الرافضة أو غير الموافقات، حتى أتمكن أنا وعائلتي، وخاصة زوجتي ووالدي اللذين يُعدّان من كبار طلاب الشيخ ومن أشدّ مؤيديه، من استخدام هذه التصريحات كأدلة تدعم التصريحات والتعليمات بعدم مناداة الشيخ أو مخاطبته بلقب "إمام أهل السنة الأفارقة"، أو "إمام أهل السنة الأفارقة في الغرب"، أو "إمام أهل السنة الأفارقة في العالم". لم أتلقَّ بعدُ من أيِّ أحد، حتى من عائلتي، الأدلة الواضحة المطلوبة من الشيخ الدكتور أديلابو، والتي تُفنِّد استخدام هذه المبالغات بحقِّه. ولعلَّني أُوضِّح هنا أنني لا أُؤهِّل أو أُقصي بأيِّ حالٍ من الأحوال شيخنا، الدكتور عبد الفتاح أبو عبد الله أديلابو، ولا أُؤيِّد أو أُنكر مخاطبة عالمنا العزيز بأيِّ ثناءٍ يليق به.
أنا أعلم وأؤمن شخصيًا أن الشيخ الدكتور أديلابو يُعلِّم ويُمارس التواضع والبساطة!
أرجو تزويدي بروابط أو نصوص تُبيِّن رفض الشيخ الدكتور أديلابو وتفنيده لتسميته إمام أهل السنة، كما ورد في بعض الكتابات والمنشورات الصادرة عن الأوقاف في لندن ووكلائها في كوالالمبور وغامبيا، والذين يعتبرون أمثالي، وأبا وهبة وأم وهبة، مُتمردين، ويتهموننا بإحداث الفتنة.

ملاحظة: هذا لا يُقصد به توصيف أو استبعاد شيخنا، الدكتور عبد الفتاح أبو عبد الله أديلابو، ولا الموافقة أو عدم الموافقة على مخاطبة عالمنا العزيز بما يليق به.
Is Sheikh Dr. Abdul-Fattah Abu-Abdullah Adelabu Al-Afriqiyy To Be Called or Addressed As "Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah"?

As-Salaam 'Alaykum Brothers and Sisters,
I have been reading some acclaims and purported scholastic articles by some senior students and followers of Sheikh Dr. Abdul-Fattah Abu-Abdullah Adelabu Al-Afriqiyy suggesting the Sheikh himself has refuted people addressing him or calling him Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah i.e. Imam Africans Ahlus-Sunnah, or Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah Fi-Gharb i.e. Imam Africans Ahlus-Sunnah in the West, and/or Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah Fi-l'Aalam i.e. Imam Africans Ahlus-Sunnah in the World. We need the Sheikh Al-Afriqiyy to come out even more affirmatively on these because some louder voices amongst his close circle still promote the use of these title for him.
I sent written requests to senior and learned students of Sheikh Dr. Abdul-Fattah Adelabu like Sheikh Mousa Philips, Sheikh Ustadh Hafiz Adesokan and Abu-Halimah to provide me with the Sheikh's personal NOT POXY disclaims or disapprovals so that, myself and my family, especially, my wife and my dad both of whom are a dire student and a strong supporter of the African scholar respectively can use as evidences to supports the disclaims and instructions not to call the Sheikh or address him as Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah i.e. Imam Africans Ahlus-Sunnah, or Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah Fi-l-Gharb i.e. Imam Africans Ahlus-Sunnah in the West, and/or Imam Ahlus-Sunnah Al-Afariqah Fi-l'Aalam i.e. Imam Africans Ahlus-Sunnah in the World. I am yet to receive from anyone, including from my own family, the clear evidences as requested of Sheikh Dr. Adelabu disapproving the use of these hyperboles for him. Perhaps, I must make myself clear here that I am not in anyway qualify or disqualify OUR SHEIKH, Dr. Abdul-Fattah Abu-Abdullah Adelabu nor approve or disapprove addressing OUR OWN DEAR SCHOLAR with any befitting accolades.
I know and believe personally that Sheikh Dr. Adelabu teaches and practises humility and simplicity!!
I hereby ONLY REQUEST for evidences through links or contents about Sheikh Dr. Adelabu's disapprovals and refutations against calling him Imam Ahlus-Sunnah as claimed in some writeups and circulations from the Awqaf London and its proxies in Kuala Lumpur and Gambia who regard people like me, Abu-Wahbah and Umm-Wahbah as rebellious, accusing us of causing Fitnah.
